IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!

Lowri's new CD "Dim da Maria" is now out and available here.

Small Nations Festival: Due to bad weather the organisers have had to cancel one stage and shift things around, Lowri will now be playing an acoustic set (unfortunately it is impossible to bring the whole band) sometime around 6pm on Saturday 12th, stage/tent to be confirmed...if your coming to the festival keep an eye out for flyers/posters etc. New CD will be on sale! 

Sesiwn Fawr Dolgellau: Lowri will be on main stage B at 1.30pm Saturday 19th July with her new band playing songs from the new CD....not to be missed!!!

 

FEBRUARY 29TH 2008

Exciting news!!!!    I am through to the final of 'Can i Gymru' - a Welsh song competition - 9 songs have been chosen and will be performed live on S4C on February 29th - there will a phone vote in, so please watch the programme and vote for me!

 

September 1st 2007

Gwyl Macs Festival - Carmarthen Showground

 Lowri will now be playing at this festival on the Saturday, September 1st at 3pm on the Tafod Acoustic Stage

 

Wednesday June 6th

Album release date is July 11th!!!!!!!

Thursday April 26th

Radio Wales - 93-103 fm

Lowri will be appearing on Radio Wales on Nicola Heywood Thomas's 'Radio Wales Arts Show' at 6.30pm, discussing acoustic music and previewing one of her new tracks ''Can't decide'' off her forthcoming album 'Kick the Sand'!

Straight from the radio show, Lowri will be going to play at Pembroke Hall, supporting 'Dan Arborise'.

 

 

March 31 2007 - 8.30pm

Lowri will be performing at the Pontardawe Arts Centre, supporting the fantastic Yasmin Levy - www.yasminlevy.net

October 30th 2006

Lowri and the band will be making their TV debut on Wedi 3 on S4C at 3pm on November 10th, they will perform "Clyw Sibrydion" live in the studio.

The Rumours of secret Lowri Evans Band rehearsals is no longer a rumour!!! Lowri will be previewing the band current working title "Lowri Evans 3" at her Cardigan gig on 4th November at The Castle Cafe Cellar Bar, Lee has been shifted onto bass guitar for the current line-up and Dafydd Jones joins them on drums. Lowri will also be previewing some new songs and the dust has been blown off the piano and that will be making an appearance too!! See Gigs for more details.

The band have also been working on tracks in the studio for a new album which will be out early 2007.

Tonights support slot with Maddy Prior (Steeleye Span) at Rhos y Gilwen Mansion nr Cilgerran has been cancelled. Maddy Prior will still be performing but there will be no support artist/s.

Recording has started on the English languge follow up to Clyw Sibrydion, the estimated release for the album is early 2007!

August 23rd 2006

Lowri is special guest on S4C Magazine Show  "Wedi 7" tonight, Lowri will be performing "Yr Unig Le" from her new album live and accompanied by Lee Mason and doing a live interview also.

August 9th 2006

Another Eisteddfod Gig! Lowri will be playing a support slot for "Bryn Fon" and his band @ The Glamorgan Arms Pontlliw at 8pm.

August 8th 2006:

Lowri and her guitarist Lee Mason will be making a few appearances around the National Eisteddfod Site in Swansea on the 8th of August. 12pm on The Fflach Record Label Stand, 2pm on The Welsh Music Foundation Stand and 4pm on The Cymdeithas yr Iaith Stand.

Also...They will be doing their 2nd Support Slot with Welsh Rock Band "Crys" @ The Chicago Rock on Wind Street Swansea in the evening
